The 2025 Toyota Sienna Gets a Luxury Makeover for Families on the Go

Toyota has revealed the 2025 Sienna, showcasing a range of new safety technologies and luxury upgrades. The most notable addition is the Advanced Rear Seat Reminder system, a global first for Toyota, which uses millimeter-wave radar to detect movement in the rear seats after the vehicle is turned off.

The Advanced Rear Seat Reminder system offers several advantages over existing technologies. Its high-resolution sensing capabilities can detect movement even under blankets and in low-light conditions. If movement is detected after the vehicle is locked, the system initiates a series of escalating alerts, including hazard lights, horn sounds, and smartphone notifications.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 comes standard across all Sienna models, featuring Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist. Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert is also included on all grades.

Platinum: Family-Friendly Luxury

The 2025 Sienna introduces a new top-tier Platinum grade, which includes luxury features such as a built-in vacuum cleaner and a FridgeBox for keeping drinks and snacks cool. The Platinum grade also boasts a 10-inch colour Head-Up Display and two-tone 18-inch wheels.

Interior upgrades are evident across all trim levels, with new seating materials and colour options. The Platinum grade offers leather-trimmed seats in Macadamia and Black or all-Black, while the XSE and XLE grades feature SofTex-trimmed seats with embossed patterns and accent stitching.

Technology enhancements include the latest Toyota Multimedia system, with a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen on higher trims. The system offers features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as well as an available Intelligent Assistant and Cloud Navigation.

The Sienna's hybrid powertrain remains unchanged, delivering 245 total system horsepower and an estimated combined fuel consumption of 6.6 L/100 km for front-wheel-drive models and 6.7 L/100 km for all-wheel-drive variants.

Toyota's Electronic On-Demand All Wheel Drive system continues to provide efficient traction when needed, using a separate electric motor to power the rear wheels without the need for a traditional transfer case or driveshaft.

The 2025 Toyota Sienna is expected to arrive at dealerships in the fall, with pricing details to be announced closer to the launch date. For more information on the new Sienna and its features, come visit us.
