We raised $17,000+ for the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals!
August 18 2021,
In honour of National Pet Day, Regency Auto fundraised for the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) through their #ReggieFromRegency Philanthropy Campaign in Q2 2021.
We’re happy to announce that we raised $17,013.25 to help protect and enhance the quality of life for thousands of domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. According to the BC SPCA’s 2021 Year-End Report, our donation helped contribute towards:
- Caring for and assisting a total of 118,917 animals in British Columbia;
- Finding homes for 8,704 homeless animals;
- Reuniting 2,485 lost animals with families;
- Supplying food to 34,141 animals through pet food banks;
- Registering 21,861 pets in the BC Pet Registry;
- Helping 35,832 animals through 9,077 new cruelty investigations;
- And providing 12,418 nights of emergency pet boarding for victims of wildfires, floods and domestic violence.
We’d like to thank each and every guest who supported our fundraiser. Support came from guests who made individual donations and from every vehicle sale (a $25 donation was made on behalf of every customer).
Susan Sydor, General Manager of Regency Toyota, presented the donation cheque to the BC SPCA.
“It was an honour to partner with the BC SPCA and to fundraise for such an amazing cause,” said Sydor. “Our team at Regency Auto loves animals and we always welcome pets in our dealerships. Many of us are pet owners ourselves. Our pets bring us daily joy and happiness—and without them, our lives would not be the same. We strongly believe in the BC SPCA’s values and mission to help animals in need. It’s important for us to provide certainty to animals even during uncertain times!”
